Our New Website and 5050-Alloy Extrusions From China

Our New Website

We are excited to announce the launch of our new website!
website

We wanted our website’s new design to spark the feelings people get when they visit our facilities. There is no other company like Alexandria Industries. When we explain this to someone who has never visited any of our facilities, it is difficult to show them what it truly feels like. People who meet us in person can easily see that we are a happy bunch. We smile a lot. We are not afraid to say hello, and we are happy to share with you what we do and why it is important.

The best way to share our culture virtually is by featuring many photos, especially of our employees. These are the people making a difference in the lives of others every day. We are thrilled to be able to show you who we are and what we do in a creative and compelling way. We take pride in what we do and we certainly will not mind “showing off” a little. We will take the time to show you what we are working on and how our machine works.

We are hearing the website’s navigation is intuitive and the information about our capabilities, services and company, is detailed and easy to find. Visitors are enjoying the pictures and seeing the samples of the work we produce.

Another great aspect is that it is now mobile-friendly to ensure visitors have ease of access to the information they need, regardless of the device they are using. Take a look around and let us know what you think.

5050 Alloy-Grade Aluminum Extrusions from China

In November, the U.S. Department of Commerce determined that aluminum extrusions made in China using heat-treated 5050 alloy-grade aluminum extrusions fall under the umbrella of the Fair Trade Act. Any manufacturers having this type of extrusion shipped to the United States from China are required by law to pay tax duties.

The Aluminum Extruders Council, its members, and aluminum extruders across the country, are pleased with the Department of Commerce’s decision regarding the heat-treated 5050 alloy to deter any producers from attempting to saturate our market. Alexandria Industries will continue to support all efforts to ensure fair trade among aluminum extruders and stop the flood of well-below market value aluminum extrusions entering the United States.

It is important to consult with the U.S. Department of Customs if you are receiving heat-treated 5050 alloy-grade extrusions from China to ensure that your are abiding by Federal law to avoid legal trouble.
