Outstanding Young Professionals

The Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and the Echo Press newspaper announced their top 20 outstanding professionals younger than age 40 in the Alexandria Lakes Area. The organizations judge nominees based on their professional achievements, community involvement and overall depth of personal qualities.

Alexandria Industries is proud to announce that Ben Bomstad, Chris Ebnet and Adam Rupp, were named as three of the 20 outstanding young professionals.

Ben Bomstad

Ben Bomstad

Ben Bomstad, corporate training manager, previously owned his own CNC machine shop, and holds certifications in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Quick Response Manufacturing, OSHA Safety and FANUC Robotics. Bomstad volunteers at the Alexandria Public School’s Junior Achievement program, and as a Science Fair judge and Freshmen Academy Network (FAN) coach. He is a substitute elementary Sunday school teacher, and a volunteer coach for the Alexandria Youth Basketball program. He also serves on advisory boards for multiple technical colleges.

Bomstad’s leadership philosophy became clear the first time he learned about Servant Leadership. He had a “feeling” about leadership for many years but could not put it into words. The model of Servant Leadership speaks directly to his heart. His passions include instilling service to others in his children, and sharing Jesus’s love with his family and community through service, leadership and teaching.

Chris Ebnet

Chris Ebnet

Chris Ebnet, corporate environmental, health and safety coordinator, believes you can achieve what you want if you are willing to work for it. Ebnet went back to college and earned his degree in safety systems and coordination from Hennepin Technical College, while working full time and raising a family. He credits his amazing wife for all of her support. He is most passionate about his family. He and his wife have six children, four of which they adopted. He believes kids need to have a positive role model in their lives, which is why much of his community involvement revolves around helping youth. Ebnet volunteers with the AWANA program at his church, teaches firearms safety and volunteers with Junior Achievement. He is also the president of the Greater Lakes Areas Safety and Health organization.

Ebnet believes that leadership education at Alexandria Industries has made him a better husband, father and team member. He sees his teammates as family, and his goal is to make sure all of our employees are able to work safely, so they can go home and be with their families.

Adam Rupp

Adam Rupp

Adam Rupp, manufacturing engineer, takes pride in designing and building manufacturing equipment that produce millions of parts. Rupp enjoys volunteering with area schools, whether it is at an elementary school, technical college or any level in between. He participates in Junior Achievement, the FAN, and as a committee member for the Center for Applied Mechatronics at Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC). These organizations allow him to share his professional experiences and give back to the community.

As an engineer, Rupp is committed to continually developing new skills from education, training and experience, to stay prepared with creative manufacturing ideas that support the short-term and long-term goals of Alexandria Industries. He too centers his leadership philosophy on the Servant Leadership model. He leads by example and makes decision based on his values. Rupp believes in empowering others to reach their personal and professional goals, and bringing a positive mindset everyday. At home, his passion is being a husband and a father, and spending time together with family.

Congratulations to Ben, Chris and Adam, Alexandria Industries’ movers and shakers. We are proud, and fortunate, to have them on our team.
