These are just some of the words that describe benevolent.

Due to an ever-increasing desire to help people on our team, Alexandria Industries has created a Benevolent Fund. The fund gives us the opportunity to come together for a common cause and make a real difference in the lives of others.

The Benevolent Fund supports our goal of workplace ministry at Alexandria Industries and allows us to move beyond a ministry of good intentions and truly care for our coworkers who find that they are in time of need.

Money donated through special events go into the fund. On "jeans day," for instance, employees give a small donation to be able to wear jeans to work.

A soon-to-be-assembled board of directors, and a committee of our peers will oversee fundraising efforts and donations for those who have a need. The money is used to assist employees or their family members who are struggling with a health or financial crisis and need help.

Alexandria Industries is working to establish a 501c3 foundation to ensure we are abiding by all legal and tax laws with regard to charitable donations. A board of directors will govern the foundation and the committee will take responsibility for managing fundraising efforts and reviewing requests for money.

The Benevolent Fund is just one way our employees are people making a difference in the lives of others who find themselves struggling with life's many challenges.
