Determined is a word that is used often by others to define Tom. It started when he was young. He was born with a passion to understand. Understand how things work, and why people do things the way they do. This quality has been the driver throughout his entire career.

His education started with a degree in Fluid Power Technology in 1993. The first position he accepted after graduating was as an Engineering Test Technician for a hydraulics manufacturer. Shortly there after, a move back to Alexandria was desired, so he accepted the role of 2^nd shift maintenance at Alexandria Industries. And that is where his Alexandria Industries story began.

Tom has held many positions throughout his career at Alexandria Industries. Each one has been in a position based on a need he filled that crossed many areas of the organization. Six in total, from maintenance technician to director of engineering, have contributed to his amazing journey. Along the way, Tom has met astounding mentors, and experienced an organization dedicated to his growth!

During his time at Alexandria Industries, Tom attained three things that have helped him become the man he is today, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and a continued pursuit of being a servant leader.

Over his career, Tom has been entrenched in the production of the custom components we produce, and the equipment used to manufacture them. Tom and his team ensure that our customers’ components are completed efficiently, consistently, and meet the high-quality requirements. They will not settle. Continuous improvement is and will be a focus for them as they continue to improve, leading to growth professionally and/or personally. Watching ideas or concepts become reality through the work of engineering and automation, is what brings this team back to their jobs every day.
