As the Director of Human Resources at Alexandria Industries, Carlye Carlson is dedicated to fostering a culture where employees can thrive both professionally and personally. With nearly two decades of experience in workforce development and strategic leadership, Carlye focuses on aligning human resource programs with the company’s core mission of creating a safer, healthier, and more productive world.
Carlye is a firm believer that an organization’s greatest asset is its people. Her approach to human resources centers on “servant leadership”—ensuring that every team member, from new recruits to veteran leaders, has the tools, training, and support they need to succeed. She is passionate about strategic workforce planning, employee well-being, and building diverse, high-performing teams.
Before joining Alexandria Industries, Carlye spent several years in the manufacturing and healthcare sectors, most recently as a Human Resources Manager for the Brunswick Boat Group, overseeing major manufacturing sites in Minnesota. Throughout her career, she has held leadership roles at Essentia Health and Target Corporation, where she specialized in talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Her background in high-volume manufacturing and large-scale operations gives her a unique perspective on the complexities of the industry and the importance of maintaining strong, value-based relationships within the workforce.
Carlye earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Management Information Systems from Bemidji State University.
Personal Highlights Carlye resides in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. Known for her strong decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills, she enjoys the challenges and rewards of helping others reach their full potential.
