We Bought a New Aluminum Extrusion Press!

We will use the new press to make aluminum components that go into products our customers make that people see and use every day.

From Presezzi Extrusion Group (Italy), the press will allow us to increase our aluminum extrusion capabilities, extrude more complex product features, and hold tighter tolerances, while utilizing a variety of alloys.

We will gain an extra 30% in extrusion capacity.

By combining the latest in aluminum extrusion technology with the best employees, we will continue to lead our industry. This investment aligns with our commitment to excellence to provide robust extruded aluminum components for our customers.

We are working with Presezzi Extrusion to customize the press to meet specific needs of customers and our company. It will be equipped with the newest automation and mechanical technology:

• a state-of-the-art, magnetic billet heating system; the first in the U.S. and fifth in the world
• the ability to push harder alloys, providing us access to new market opportunities
• automation, quench, and safety management systems, increasing extrusion production 30%
• an automated log handling and washing system, increasing production efficiencies and extrusion quality

A Building Expansion

To accommodate the new equipment along with its soft Kevlar handling system, we are adding 19,000 square feet of space to our manufacturing facility located in Alexandria. Construction is beginning soon. After the press is up and running, we look forward to having everyone visit to see it in action!
