Todd McChesney Joins Alexandria Industries as Director of Business Development

Alexandria Industries announced today that Todd McChesney has joined the company as the director of business development. With his versatile background in manufacturing, along with honed critical-thinking skills, McChesney will help the company generate unconventional ideas and innovative ways to improve its systems and processes that exceed customer needs.

McChesney’s business acumen and broad manufacturing knowledge comes from a career that spans more than three decades of growing company revenue. By focusing on design for manufacturability, improving product value and understanding customer needs, his efforts consistently result in customer success. He has a natural ability to easily connect and engage with people at all levels of an organization, cultivating mutually beneficial relationships that bring out the best in everyone.

Most recently, McChesney served as the president of Hutchinson Holdings LLC: ERMC | Hutchinson MFG (Elk River, Minn.), where he helped to transform the company from a job shop to repetitive product manufacturing. Prior to this, McChesney was with Dynamic Sealing Technologies (Andover, Minn.) and Elk River Machine Company (Elk River, Minn.).

McChesney holds a bachelor’s in manufacturing engineering technology from Minnesota State University (Mankato, Minn.) and a master’s in business management from the University of St. Thomas (Saint Paul, Minn.)
