Alexandria Industries is Top Fundraiser in Minnesota

Alexandria Industries is the number one Relay For Life fundraising team in Minnesota, and the second largest fundraiser among all Relay teams in the United States. The American Cancer Society recognized the efforts of company employees, who drive all fundraising, at the 2018 summer celebration event for the Relay For Life of Douglas County.

Altogether, the employees raised nearly $52,000 in 2017. The team is on track to be the number one fundraising team for 2018, already having raised more than $81,000.

Employees lead all Relay For Life fundraising by reaching out to family, friends and the communities where they live and work. They host a number of events throughout the year, including their annual Fishing For the Cure Ice Fishing Challenge held the third Saturday of February. Employees also raise money through bingo night, lunches, and jeans days at work.

“Raising money to fight cancer and find a cure is our passion,” said Lynette Kluver, director of organizational development. “Our employees contribute much time and effort to help find a cure for cancer. Many of them have personally fought cancer and won. They also celebrate with those who have survived cancer, while remembering loved ones who lost their lives to cancer.”
