As the new lead welding engineer for Alexandria Industries’ welding services, Felch brings a wealth of experience, both as an industry welding professional, and as an instructor of welding techniques in the technical college system.

Felch provides skilled TIG and MIG welding capabilities that enhance the structural integrity of customers’ products, such as components for medical, marine and manufacturing equipment. He also employs effective cost- and time-saving management strategies in welding tooling fixtures and component design tips for customers.

With more than 20 years of experience welding a range of materials and products, Felch brings a high level of expertise in the management and construction of welding projects and custom fabrication, as well as training, quality control, research and development, troubleshooting and facility operations. Most recently, he served Alexandria Industries as an independent contractor for our welding services in 2015.

Part of his experience comes from a combination of 10 years of serving as an instructor of welding at Alexandria Technical & Community College and Dakota County Technical College, where he taught welding procedures, theories, and preventative maintenance, and managed student certification testing.

He also spent six years in a supervisory role, providing hands-on involvement and maintenance of plant operations, project management, job set-up and quality control for Bear Track Products (Evansville, MN).

Felch proudly served as a corporal in the United States Marines.
