We are People Making a Difference in the Fight Against Cancer!
The first six months of every year, the employees in Alexandria Industries organize and host events to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.
Company sponsored events include designated jean days, an Ice Fishing Tournament and Ham & Turkey Bingo. We love to get everyone together for great meals of chili, potluck and build your own sandwich and summer picnics. Our employees are encouraged to invite their family and friends to help in the fight against cancer. Our goal is to have fun while raising money and awareness for a great cause!
The Relay For Life in Douglas County is on the second Friday in July held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. It’s about a community that takes up the fight against cancer to celebrate and honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and raise money for the American Cancer Society. This year approximately 125 employees and their families participated in this event.
This year alone, our events and private donations have raised more than $40,000 for the American Cancer Society! Thank you to everyone who has given to help the American Cancer Society fight cancer and find a cure.
